'Primavera' was painted during pregnancy and the first year of my daughter's life in any 'spare' moments I could find. As life began to miraculously grow inside of me, this painting began to unfold in front of me. The ordered, interconnected geometric lines take a long time to draw out; they are the stable foundation. Working with the colours is a more intuitive and devotional process for me. I am fascinated by how the feel of a work can be altered by the infinite variations of colour.
