The Acholi Lango, Nubi and Teso and those from the West Nile District of Uganda.
In Kenya the Kalenjin, Nandi, Luo and Kamba.
In Tanganyika, the Nyamwezi were identified as having ‘martial characteristics’ along with the Yao, Ngoni, Chewa & Nguru recruits.
